The wrong pane on a BMW is obvious from the driver's seat.
Most of the range leaves the factory with acoustic laminated glass, and a great many cars carry a head-up display. HUD glass has a wedge-shaped interlayer that stops the projected image doubling; fit a flat pane in its place and the car is quieter about it than the driver will be. Acoustic glass is the same story at a lower volume: swap it for plain laminate and the cabin gets louder in a way that is hard to name and impossible to unhear.
We specify the pane from the vehicle rather than from the cheapest line on a supplier screen, and we tell you plainly when OEM is the right call and when good aftermarket glass will do the job properly for less. Where the car has a windshield-mounted camera, the calibration happens here on the same appointment.

Step 1: Identify the exact pane
Acoustic interlayer, head-up display wedge, heated elements, camera bracket and sensor pad. The VIN resolves all of it before anything is ordered.
Step 2: Remove the trim properly
Cowl, A-pillar trim and mouldings come off rather than off in pieces, and the sensor and camera assemblies are handled as the assemblies they are.
Step 3: Bond to specification
The pane is set with the correct primer and adhesive procedure, and we tell you the safe drive-away time for the installation.
Step 4: Calibrate and hand over
